# Bilbo Mound and America's buried past

Bilbo Mound is a real hill east of Savannah, Georgia, where the Savannah River meets the sea. Archaeologists file it as site **9CH4**; you can visit the fenced rise in the swamp east of downtown. It is the starting point for an investigation into what was hidden, redacted, and whitewashed.

I do not believe it is the root truth for the shape of the continent. Bilbo sits beside a living city. If officials can misname one mound there, they can misname ten thousand across a hemisphere.

## Instantaneous burial — tools, cattle, and herds together
