I heard about it online and showed up. Pre-march, people debated conspiracies — most already aligned Flat Earth. The Flat Earthers were there. A retired government official — an ex-official brought as a speaker on communism — sat at a table before the march. He already seemed fed up with them. They felt disconnected from him, not his people. I asked serious questions about whether a communist insurrection conspiracy was underway in America. He took interest. That grievance was real enough to bring ordinary Arizonans out with handmade signs and short speeches.
